TRANSPORTATION OF
SPECIAL MACHINERY FROM CHINA

International transportation of
special machinery from China to Russia

At the beginning of summer, our company successfully completed a large-scale international logistics project involving the transportation of special machinery from China to Russia.

During such projects, attention and efficiency are crucial when organizing the international shipment of oversized and heavy cargo. This requires consideration of numerous factors: weight, dimensions, packaging and transport conditions, route planning, potential storage or transshipment points, and customs clearance requirements.

Today, we’re sharing a detailed look into the completed multimodal transport project.

The delivery of road construction, industrial, and automotive machinery from China to Russia via the Far Eastern ports and the Manchuria (PRC) – Zabaikalsk (RF) border crossing remains one of the most efficient and popular logistics routes.

Thanks to the geographical location and developed transportation infrastructure in these regions, machinery can be transported using a combination of sea, road, and rail transport modes.

Our company provides comprehensive freight forwarding services for industrial cargo. In addition to professional knowledge and skills, we are able to quickly adapt to new tasks and routes, adhering to principles of efficiency and reliability.

Our latest international project involved a full range of logistics services for transporting special machinery manufactured by LiuGong to Russia — including customs clearance, warehousing, and overall supply chain coordination.

Our team tackled each logistics challenge with precision, ensuring top-tier service for our clients. In this international oversized cargo transportation project, we met the expectations of both the sender and the receiver.

To date, over 20 cargo units have been successfully delivered, including wheeled and tracked vehicles, self-propelled machinery, and pneumatic and crawler equipment.

SPECIAL MACHINERY FROM CHINA

The weight and dimension characteristics of all cargo items are too extensive to include in our article, but we would like to note that the weight of the cargo ranged from 10 to 36 tons, and each machine had unique dimensional specifications.

The equipment included front-end loaders, excavators, and dump trucks.

The shipment terms were based on a DAP agreement (Manchuria, PRC). The sender delivered the equipment to a warehouse base, prepared the export declaration, and officially handed the cargo over to our team.

Upon receipt, our specialists organized transportation to the temporary storage warehouse (TSW) using contracted vehicles. The next phase included customs clearance of all cargo units, followed by their transfer to the bonded storage facility.

The LiuGong machinery delivery project took nearly two months, considering all documentation and shipment stages.

From the bonded storage facility, cargo was dispatched as rail cars and road transport became available. Final delivery destinations across Russia included the Sverdlovsk, Bryansk, Rostov, Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk, and Leningrad regions.

All cargo units of construction and road equipment were delivered safely and on schedule.

All parties involved in the project expressed full satisfaction with the work completed.
